Ellie and Angus came to Lucky Girl for support in planning their baby shower / gender reveal party for their soon-to-be-(known)-son.
THE DETAILS
Hosting a baby shower with a gender reveal at their home in Woodland Hills, CA
Guest list roughly 35 people
Wanted to incorporate a few games and activities for the guests
Would love to use the “B” sign from their wedding and a fun balloon arch as a photo backdrop
Offer a light lunch spread and a range of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages
Looking to host something fun and casual to celebrate their family growing
This was such a special event for us to be a part of. Ellie and Angus are dear friends of the founder and this pregnancy was such a blessing to their family (and friend group!).
Ellie and Angus came with so many ideas of what sounded fun to them and what they’d enjoyed at other baby showers they’d been too. We love getting to brainstorm games and surprise elements and this was such a treat. We landed on a spunky game of Guess Who (otherwise known as “the shoe game”), Late Night Diapers - an activity where guests can write (non-toxic) notes on to the soon-to-be sleep deprived parents by way of a diaper for those late night changes, and provided a polaroid camera and notecards for picture notes to give the future little one so they’d know who mom & dad’s loved ones were when they were celebrating them coming to the world. It was really lovely. We ended the afternoon with a surprise gender reveal with confetti canons and a color-filled balloon pop!
We provided a light spread of bbq sandwiches, salads, caprese skewers, and other light bites accompanied by a margarita station and yummy N/A bubbly drinks.
